Call for Student Poster Abstract 

CHIP is excited to announce for the Spring symposium there will be two student poster sessions! Day One poster session will showcase young scholars’ research from undergraduate and high school students. Day Two poster session will feature UNC graduate student posters and their research in maternal health, data science, and health informatics. CHIP invites students at all career stages to submit their abstracts – research is not limited to maternal health. This is an exciting opportunity for students to share their research with area researchers as well as interdisciplinary research colleagues.

CHIP strongly encourages submissions by women and underrepresented minorities in the sciences.

Note: Symposium Registration fee will be waived for all accepted student poster presenters.

 

Rising Young Scholars Student Poster Session – April 15, 2021

Sponsored by NIH, the Young Scholars Poster Session will focus on undergraduate and high school students who have participated and completed the datamine.unc.edu online training modules. Datamine by CHIP is an online, lifelong learning environment for students to have open access to online training modules in health data analytics. The site provides training through online lectures, interactive modules, and a clinical case library which teaches health analytics using realistic cases.

Undergraduate and high school students who have completed the Datamine modules are encouraged to submit their research abstract for the Young Scholars Student Poster Session at the AMMI conference. Student posters will be judged with six awards:

  • One 1st place award at $700
  • Two 2nd place awards at $450
  • Three 3rd place awards at $100

Awards will be announced at the closing of the conference on April 16th.

UNC Graduate Student Poster Exhibit – April 16, 2021

CHIP welcomes all UNC Graduate students to submit their research on analytics, machine learning, maternal health, data science, early childhood health, and health informatics for the Graduate Student Poster Exhibit. Submit poster abstract here.
